What is Safer Recruitment?
Safer recruitment is a set of practices that help organisations ensure the people they recruit are suitable to work with children and/or vulnerable adults. It applies to everyone recruited to work or volunteer in a role with children, young people, or adults at risk - whether paid or unpaid.
In the Diocese of Chelmsford we follow the Church of England's Safer Recruitment and People Management guidance. This includes DBS checks where eligible.
