SALT was a day of encouragement and encounter for women across Chelmsford Diocese that took place at Holy Trinity South Woodford last month.

Vicar of Holy Trinity, the Rev'd Abi Todd takes up the story.
"On Saturday 1 March over 160 women met together at Holy Trinity South Woodford for the fourth meeting of Salt, our women’s ministry. We were really pleased to have so many join us from across the diocese and from other local churches, and we had an amazing day of teaching, worship and prayer.
"Salt’s aim is to equip, encourage and empower women to be who God is calling them to be. Our keynote talk on exactly this was given by Damilola Makinde, and through the morning we had contributions from church members and friends including a barrister, a foster carer, and a representative from Open Doors, talking to us about women of the persecuted church.
"In the afternoon we had seminars from Lin Button and Rev Amy Stott (St Luke’s Canning Town) and finished with more inspiring worship.
"We are really grateful to the Diocese’s Mission Opportunity Fund for enabling us to offer free tickets to any who needed them, and to ensure that it was a great day overall. Look out for more to come!"
