Salary: 0.4 of a stipend

The role involves working with the local community to identify needs, building teams to support mission, and establishing new ways for people to explore their faith, including innovative worship styles and digital presence. Key responsibilities include outreach to those with little or no church connection, spiritual guidance, collaboration with existing parish staff and volunteers, and developing sustainable communities.

ROLE DUTIES

Pioneering new mission: Focus on reaching and engaging those with no or little church connection through creative, innovative approaches and new forms of church.
Community engagement: Spend significant time in the community to understand local needs and build relationships, meeting people where they are.
Community building: Identify and recruit volunteers to support outreach, and establish new Christian communities that may be different from traditional church models.
Developing discipleship: Work with both new and existing Christians to deepen their faith and discipleship.

CRITERIA

Ordained Church of England Priest
Passion for evangelism and a desire to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Proven ability to lead new pioneering outreach work in the context of inner-city estates ministry.
Experience in establishing new worshipping communities.
