TEAM VICAR in the Epping Team Ministry (O.5 or House for Duty)

Closing date: 05 October 2025
Contact: René Horner - PA to the Archdeacon of Chelmsford
Location: Epping CM16

The Epping Team Ministry seeks to appoint a Team Vicar (0.5 or House for Duty). The Team has  three parishes, two rural and one in the heart of the market town of Epping. The three have  distinctive styles of worship, but are all committed to the shared life of the Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a priest to grow into the role, using their own gifts and passions and the time they can offer. There are vast opportunities across the Team, including ministries in schools, those affected by dementia and to survivors of domestic abuse.

We seek a Team Vicar who is:

• A person of prayer, who is welcoming, empathetic, inclusive and committed to Stewardship.

• A confident and clear teacher of the faith, eager to share the good news of God’s love.

• Able to respect and develop the preferred style of worship in each church; a team player and committed to collaboration.

• Able to engage energetically with local communities, developing already-established links.

• Supportive of existing initiatives.

We offer:

• The support and encouragement of a recently appointed Team Rector, an Associate Minister, two Licenced Lay Ministers, a Pastoral Assistant, a Team Administrator, a Children, Youth and Families worker and a committed team of Churchwardens and lay people.

• A unique opportunity to develop your role to match your own particular gifts and calling.

• A wonderful location within Epping Forest District with easy access to London via the Central Line tube service, and by M11 and M25 further afield.

• A 4-bedroom house in the parish of Coopersale with off-street parking.

• An opportunity to serve as part of a Team, in which the contributions of all are valued as we seek together to Celebrate, Share and Grow in Christ.

Closing date:   5 October 2025

Interview: 6 November 2025
